The Story Behind Sta-lions' Herbs

Cynomorium Songricum is a type of parasitic plant known as "Suoyang" in chinese meaning "locking goodness". It is normally available in the highlands of Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu and Tibet, and is commonly used to treat weak performance, back ache, to strengthen tendon and to increase blood.

During the 16th century in Europe, it was popularly known as maltese mushroom and was highly prized as it was usually given as a gift to European monarchy rulers by maltese warriors.

Cynomorium has a reddish brown colour that turns darker when dried. Thus, herbalist claim that it is good for treating blood-related problems. Its similar shape to that of the male genitalia proposes that it is also reliable in alleviating sexual problems. It was used by the Crusuader warriors to revive energy during war. In Saudi Arabia, it is known as Tartuth and is used to treat male-related problems, the digestive system and ulcer.

Cynomorium tastes sweet in it raw form and was once used as food in China. At that time, a General from the Tang Dynasty, General Xue Rengui and his army besieged a town called Anxi which was located halfway across the silk road and hailed as the door to the west. When the army ran out of food and was in dire need of aid, they survived by eating suoyang and eventually gained victory. Since then, Anxi was called Suoyang to immortalise the superiority of this herb.

What Is Royal Jelly?

The Queen lives many times longer then the worker bee: five years for the Queen, and less than six weeks for the worker bee.
